18 Songs from the '90s you grew up singing but shouldn't have. Ugh. I definitely have to stop listening to Top 40 radio in the car with Josephine.

How did I not know about Television Without Pity?! It's right up my snarky alley. And it's going away. Boo.

On my wishlist. For every room with a rug.

Week 13

The item: Clothing. Bags and bags of clothing.
The backstory: A friend and I are hosting an annual clothing swap tomorrow, and between the two of us, we cleared out a ridiculous amount of clothing from our closets. I'm frankly a little stunned at the amount we purged. (This isn't even all of it. Eep.) And for sticklers, yes, I will be selecting new items at the swap, but I will be adding fewer items to my closet than what I removed, so it will still be an expulsion!
Method of expulsion: Soon to be swapped into new homes!
Monetary impact: $0
YTD monetary impact: $168.88

Confused? Here's what's going on.

Week 12

The item: Media console for album storage
The backstory: I saw this little guy on Craigslist, dragged Mike on a wild goose chase to a woman's un-findable house (i.e. didn't show up on Google Maps), convinced him that it would be a perfect bar cart/plant stand, only to get it home and find that it didn't quite work in the spot I was envisioning. Bummer. So it sat in the garage until I got over my disappointment, and then back on Craigslist it went, and it quickly found a new, happy home.
Method of expulsion: Sold online.
Monetary impact: $20
YTD monetary impact: $168.88

Week 11

The item: Clothing.
The backstory: I have been ruthlessly going through my closet, and purging unworn items in preparation for a clothing swap at the end of the month. I've cleared out a lot -- you'd think my closet is bigger than it really is -- but some of the items are a little too loved to be included in the swap, so I dropped them off at the same donation bin that I did on Week 1.
Method of expulsion: Dropped off at a clothing donation bin to benefit CDRF.
Monetary impact: None - donation.
YTD monetary impact: $148.88

Confused? Here's what's going on.

Week 10

The item: Media cabinet.

The backstory: We used this to store CDs, DVDs, and VHS tapes. Why are we getting rid of this? The first sentence should have made that clear. It was a nice sturdy piece, but scratched from swinging open and shut with a heavy load, and we couldn't figure out an alternate use for it. The woman who bought it did though, and it will have a new life housing toiletries.
Method of expulsion: Sold online.
Monetary impact: $30
YTD monetary impact: $148.88
