Before living in Japan we ate rice occasionally, but it wasn't a huge part of our diet. As you might imagine, that changed after we moved here, and I now wonder how I ever lived without a rice cooker. Since our rice cooker is packed up, I'm finding that I'm craving rice even more (yes, I know, I could cook it on the stove, but I'm lazy, and plus I don't want to buy a big bag of rice when I'm trying to clear out my pantry). So lately we've been picking up tempura vegetables, tsukemono (Japanese pickles), and rice for dinner. In fact, I think I might have to go pick up some more for lunch today...

Hi Linny,
I am a fellow Nagoyian currently working on a new web comedy series with production comedy Nameless Films called "English Teachers". Based in Nagoya, the show will be a satire on the English conversation school industry in Japan. Right now I'm basically looking for other people like myself who are currently living, working and blogging in Nagoya to get involved with the show and help spread the word!
To start, it would be great if you would check us out on Facebook and join our growing community!

If you wish to find out more, get involved further and perhaps help with promotion, I have a lot more information on the show I can send you. Please feel free to drop me a line at

Thanks Linny! Hope to hear from you soon,
Carl
