Too Good For Words

Okay, maybe just a few words. Only enough to tell you that these soba noodles with aubergine and mango are so fantastically delicious that you should go make them. Immediately.

Hopeful Home

I've been holding off on posting about this until our house inspection was over - and now that it is, if everything else continues to go well, this will be our home on June 15th!

(To envision it as I see it in my head, just imagine it without the faux shutters, 

different landscaping...ah, the never-ending list begins!!)

Meal Planning Convo

Me: What sounds good for dinner tonight?
Mike: Whatever.
Me: How about breakfast for dinner?
Mike: Like eggs?
Me: Yeah, and maybe potatoes?
Mike: Sounds great!

Mike: Um. You said we were having eggs and potatoes for dinner....
Me: *confused* Right....this is eggs and potatoes...
Mike: *shakes head* Looks delicious hon.

Sweet Gem Confections

I went to the A2 Farmers Market this morning to take some pictures for Real Time Farms, and I was struck by how lovely these gourmet chocolates and truffles were at Sweet Gem Confections' stall.

Once I got home and started reading the flavors I started kicking myself for being too wrapped up in photographing the little goodies to make a purchase. Pear with pink peppercorn, fresh mint, and rhubarb with cardamom?! I have to go back!

Home for Now

We're in a cozy B&B while we search for someplace a bit more permanent. The only thing missing is our pooch.

Stateside!

Sooooo happy to be back in the US with family and friends, but I didn't expect to be so drained from house hunting...
